Analysis Of Mixmag's Contents Page

Colour
The colour of the contents page are bright colours elated to raving/clubbing. The background is black which makes the colours in the front stand out more and all together make them more effective, one of the main colours are: yellow, green, blue, pink, white, purple.

Font
The font is simple. it stands out because of the colour and the word 'contents' is in a different font to the rest of the text on the page, this is so you know what the actual page is about and what is on it. The actual language is simple and straight to the point, it isn't a hard read and is easy to take in at a glance.

Pictures
Their are two pictures on the page, both of them are to do with what is in the magazine and what the article is about, for instance who Mixmag are interviewing. One of them takes over the right page of the double page contents, it is of a attractive female, this could entice the male audience of the magazine to read more and want to buy it.

Layout
On the first page of the contents are all of the main articles and exclusives, their aren't any pictures. The main focus on the second page is a large picture of a female at a club dancing. The right part of the second page is of the other contents in the magazine but they aren't the exclusives or one off appearances or articles in the magazine. They are quite small and in basic font like arial. The other picture in the contents is of 'The who, what and where of 2010' with a picture of one of those main people.
